Hands

The inspiration came from a walk around my neighborhood during the autumn season. The trees and flowers dropped their seeds and seed pods throughout our walk. I asked each member of my family to pick up something in nature that resonates with them individually. This could be based on its texture, shape, color, or just the intrigue of the natural object. Everyone gravitated to pods that are vessels of seeds for the plant or tree.

I shot this collection in color, converted each one into Black and White, shot the seeds/pods individually, and finally merged the two images together through the use of PhotoShop.
